CONSTRUCTION OF A SPLENDID CONTEMPORARY HOUSE
This house enjoys a particularly privileged setting, by the sea and close to the Chiberta golf course. Thanks to its fully glazed façades, it offers a sweeping view with the Chiberta golf course in the foreground and, beyond it, the ocean and one of the most sought-after beaches on the Basque coast. Wood, concrete and zinc clad this reinterpretation of seaside architecture. Horizontal lines outline generous terraces, inviting contemplative sunbathing.
This interplay of volumes and materials adds to the charm of this large contemporary villa and gives it a fine, clean, horizontal profile.
The outdoor spaces are an integral part of the project, extending the interior spaces. The various terraces that reach out into the garden are sheltered by projecting slabs and roofs.
The south façade is extensively glazed to make the most of the site in every season: the ocean becomes a painting, and the picture windows its frame.
The architecture of the house is a combination of geometric volumes which, on the one hand, define contrasting interior spaces and, on the other, comply with the planning constraints of the site.
